I provide consultation in medical and legal cases in which there is a concern that a patient is presenting as more ill or disabled than would be expected based on the objective evidence of medical disease or injury or mental health problems. I also provide consultation for cases in which a caregiver for a child, disabled adult, or dependent older person is suspected of exaggerating or fabricating the illness or disability of the person in their care.
